Smartphones are the most useful thing you can travel with, they are powerful laptops that fit into your pocket.  I do a lot of my travel with only my phone as an electronic because of the ease and space.  And with that there are some apps that I cannot travel without and neither should you!

 TRANSPORTATION
Of course when you travel you have got get around and if you're in a city renting a car isn't always the most practical option thus why uber and lyft is the most important.  Make sure to utilize uber pool and lyft line for cheaper trips!

COUCHSURFING:

Amazing app and community of people for cheap travel! Couchsurfing allows people to connect and stay on their couch.  In a lot of cases people offer a bed or even a private room.  It is a great opportunity to meet locals and get the inside scoop of the place you are traveling too!  Couchsurfing is also a great way to connect with fellow couchsurfer whether it is a meet up at a local bar or road tripping and just pitching in for gas.

HOSTEL WORLD:

Hostels are super cheap for travelers in their 20s!  They are not the most VIP set up since hostels are known for their bunk bed set up it is definitely a cheap option to allow you to travel.  And hostelworld is a great app that allows you to search hostels in your area and shows you honest rating based on cleanliness and facilities which is crucial when finding a place to sleep.

HOTEL TONIGHT:

AIRBNB:

Airbnb give people the opportunity to list their own houses and apartments for your accommodation needs.  If you are renting someones whole apartment you usually would not have much interaction with the owner but there are some options for breakfast in the morning and interaction with the owners. Great booking app that I like using best when traveling with friends.  If you split the price with a couple of friends you have the opportunity to stay at some pretty bomb apartments for the price of one night at a hotel.

SkyScanner is a great tool that searches for cheap flights.  But the great tool about it is that you can search "everywhere" and it find the cheapest place for you to fly right now.  And it also searches the cheapest month which is awesome if you wanna travel but don't have a particular place in mind.

Another great booking agency that has great prices a lot of the time you have to click around to get the lowest price!


SEAT GURU:

Seat Guru is awesome when booking a flight since it shows your details about the exact seat in the plane.  Some seat have and extra inch of legroom and some don't have a place to charge your phone, with seat guru there will be no surprises and will help you have the most comfortable flight possible.
